After breakfast, your driver will pick you up at the hotel and you will make your way to Tarangire National Park.  The drive will be approximately 2 hours.  Big baobab trees, bush savannah and the seasonal marshes add to the wonders of this nature reserve.  Tarangire National Park is considered to be one of the best parks to view elephants up close. The Park is also home to buffaloes, zebras and wildebeests and are closely followed by a range of predators such as lions and leopards, but cheetahs are rarely spotted in this area. From the open rooftop of your safari vehicle, you will be able to absorb the landscape and get a perfect view of the wildlife.  You will enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the Tarangire river and afternoon game drives before heading to your accommodation for the night.

DAY 3: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After early morning breakfast at the camp, you will travel from Tarangire to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is home to over 400 bird species, primate-filled forests, and grassy plains.  The lake is alkaline and is the seasonal breeding grounds for large numbers of flamingos and various other waterfowls. The Park is also home to giraffes, elephants, zebras, Buffaloes, hippos, wildebeests, impalas, groups of noisy monkeys and baboons as well as tree-climbing lions who hide amongst the fruits of the sausage tree. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will exit the Park and make your way to your accommodation for the night.

Dinner and overnight at Marera Lodge

DAY 4: LAKE MANYARA – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will travel through the cooler highlands towards the southern part of Serengeti.  You will reach the plains of Serengeti mid-day. Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with a diversity of habitats and landscapes such as short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators can often be seen.  Serengeti is famous for the yearly migration where hundreds and thousands of wildebeests and zebras trek in search of fresh grass and water.

Dinner and overnight at Zawadi Tented Camps.

DAY 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After early morning breakfast at the camp, the entire day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti National Park. The areas you will visit will depend on where the migrating herds are. Predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs closely follow the trekking animals and can be spotted in those areas. During the short rainy season in November and December, the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy seasons from April to June, they return to the north. As the migration is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls, the location of the herds may vary from year to year. Your guide will know where to locate the animals for the best viewing opportunities.

Dinner and overnight at Zawadi tented camp.

DAY 6: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK – NGORONGORO CRATER

After breakfast, on your outward journey to the park gate, you will have an opportunity to view more games.  After a picnic lunch, you will leave the Serengeti National Park in the early afternoon to continue your journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way, you will be able to see the Maasai boma and experience their lifestyle.  Please confirm this section

Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Rhino Lodge

DAY 7: NGORONGORO CRATER – ARUSHA

After breakfast at the lodge, you will descend the crater for a game drive. The massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals including the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard – as well as spotted hyenas, rare warthogs, and over 500 bird species. After an extensive game drive and a picnic for lunch at the hippo pool, you will leave the crater in the late afternoon and head to Arusha town.
